Edward was the third son of William Corles who also served on the corporation. Edward practiced as a solicitor and attorney from 1833. He was appointed to the office of Under Sheriff and served several years in that capacity. Elected to the Council for St. Peter’s Ward in 1849 he became an alderman in 1853 and died in 1866.
