The Guildhall Worcester has six rooms available for hire, and can accommodate events ranging from meetings for 12 people to private catered functions for up to 200 guests in a range of flexible layouts to suit your specific needs.
With its impressive historical décor, and close proximity to city restaurants and bars, The Guildhall is the perfect venue for business meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops.

Lower Hall

The Lower Hall is a versatile, open space in the centre of the Guildhall. Directly accessed from the High Street, it is the first room entered by members of the public visiting the venue, making this a perfect setting for public events such as exhibitions, recruitment fairs, craft fairs and coffee mornings. It is also ideal for parties and evening receptions with space for a band/DJ, dancefloor, bar and seating for up to 200 guests.

The Court Room, on the Ground Floor, was previously home to the Crown Court and prisoners were brought up from the cells directly beneath to face their sentencing. The room can be used for meetings/seminars in boardroom or theatre-style as well as presentations and training courses. The room can accommodate a maximum of 50 people.

The Council Chamber, which has a small raised stage at the front, has always been used for Council business, stretching back to when the city was governed by the Corporation of Worcester. The room can be used for meetings/seminars in boardroom or theatre-style as well as presentations and training courses. The room can accommodate a maximum of 50 people.

Located in the North Wing on the first floor. It is named the Kings Room in reference to Kings Charles I and II statues located at the front of the Guildhall and in relation to the visit from King George III in 1788. The Kings Room is available for meetings and interviews.

Previously serving as the City’s Council Chamber, this room was renamed in 1995 in appreciation of Councillor George Randall’s long service to the City. The room is now used for meetings, interviews, presentations and training courses. This room can accommodate up to a maximum of 25 people.

Located on the Ground Floor, the Green Room has played a range of roles over the centuries, serving as a counsel room for lawyers, a place for guests to play cards, or a waiting room for the Mayor’s guests. The room is now used for meetings and interviews, or as part of exhibitions and fairs. This room can accommodate up to a maximum of 12 people.

Guildhall Bar
We have a fully licensed mobile pop-up bar where you can choose where it’s situated in the Lower Hall. It is stocked with a good selection of wines, spirits, draft beers and non-alcoholic drinks where guests can enjoy their favourite beverage.
The Guildhall Bar is available upon request only.
